The World is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.
“The use of traveling is to regulate imagination by reality, and instead of thinking how things may be, to see them as they are.”

Pangkor Island Malaysia

Pangkor Island is the most popular Island on Malaysia.Pangkor Island or Pulao Pangkor is a true paradise in the sun, boasting charming beauty, pristine golden beaches, virgin jungles, quiet coves and authentic fishing villages.
With the opportunity to sunbathe on idyllic beaches, swim and snorkel in secluded coves, climb the famous Pangkor hill or hike through untouched rainforest, your vacation will become an everlasting memory. Pangkor is situated off the west coast of Malaysia, between Kuala Lumpur and Penang and only seven km across from Lumut so that Pangkor Island is easily accessible by ferry from Lumut or by air from Kuala Lumpur.
It is a small island being only 8 sq km but it has interesting history, having been a major tin producer in the 19th century. The island has some of the best beaches on this side of the Malay Peninsula and these are situated on the west coast. The east coast mainly consists of fishing villages.
For centuries, Pangkor has been a welcome stopover for weary sea travelers, pirates and adventurers. At one time even ruled by European conquerors. Yet, as if oblivious to the ravages of war and conquest, her natural wonders have remained uncared. Perhaps to conquer your heart.
